OnePress Support & FAQ
Welcome to OnePress support. Most questions below can be answered without waiting on a reply from us — OnePress doesn't have accounts or a server, so almost everything about your data is already in your hands. If you can't find what you need here, jump to Contact at the bottom.
Getting Started
How do I log my first set? From the Home tab, start a session (either an existing routine or a quick freeform one), pick an exercise, and enter your weight and reps. Tap Log Set, and it's saved immediately — no account, no sign-in, nothing to set up first.
How do I build my first routine? Go to the Exercises tab, or use the routine builder from Home, and add exercises from the built-in library. You can reorder them, set target sets/reps, and save the routine to use again anytime.
Why is OnePress asking for Apple Health permission? OnePress can read your past workouts from Apple Health to avoid creating duplicates, and can write your completed strength workouts back to Health (including an estimated calorie burn) so they show up alongside your other health data. This is entirely optional — if you tap Don't Allow, OnePress works exactly the same for logging and tracking; you just won't see that two-way sync with Health. You can change your answer anytime in iOS Settings.
Do I need to create an account? No. OnePress has no accounts, no logins, and no company server. Your data lives on your device and, if you have iCloud enabled, in your own private iCloud account.
Routines & Sessions
Can I swap an exercise in the middle of a workout? Yes. If a machine's taken or you'd rather do something else, you can swap any exercise in your current session for an alternative without losing your place in the workout.
How does the rest timer work? After you log a set, OnePress starts a rest timer automatically. It shows your current exercise and countdown on your Lock Screen and in the Dynamic Island (via Live Activity), so you can put your phone down and still see how much rest is left. You can extend or skip your rest from inside the app.
Can I edit or delete a set after I've logged it? Yes, any logged set, session, or routine can be edited or deleted at any time from within the app.
Progress & Stats
Each exercise's Progress screen shows three metrics, and OnePress explains all three in plain language right under the chart, using your own most recent numbers. Here's the short version:
What is Max Weight? The heaviest weight you actually lifted for at least one full rep in a session — a real set you completed, not an estimate.
What is Total Volume? Your total training volume for that session: sets × reps × weight, added up. It's a way to see whether you're doing more overall work over time, even on days your top weight doesn't change.
What is Estimated 1RM? An estimate of the heaviest weight you could potentially lift for a single rep, calculated from a recent set using a standard strength formula (Epley). It's a projection, not something you've actually lifted — useful as a reference point for tracking strength trends, but not a target to go test for real without the usual precautions (a spotter, proper warm-up, and caution around your limits).
Why don't I see a chart yet for an exercise? Charts need at least one logged set for that exercise. Log it once and you'll see your first data point; the trend fills in as you log it again over time.
Apple Health & iCloud Sync
What exactly does OnePress do with Apple Health? If you allow it, OnePress reads your workout history from Health (to avoid duplicate entries) and writes your completed OnePress workouts to Health, including an estimated calorie burn based on your logged duration and body weight. Nothing else in Health is touched.
How does OnePress sync across my devices? Through your own private iCloud account (via Apple's CloudKit), the same way apps like Notes or Reminders sync. If you're signed into iCloud on two devices with OnePress installed, your routines, sessions, and progress sync automatically — we never see or store this data ourselves.
What happens if I don't use iCloud, or turn it off? OnePress works fully offline. Your data just stays on that one device instead of syncing to your others.
I switched phones — where's my data? If you were signed into iCloud with sync enabled, restoring or setting up OnePress on your new device should bring your data with it automatically once iCloud finishes syncing. If you weren't using iCloud, your data lived only on the old device and won't transfer — this is a good reason to turn iCloud sync on if you use more than one device.
Units & Language
Can I switch between kilograms and pounds? Yes, in Settings. Your existing logged weights are simply relabeled with the new unit — no conversion happens to the numbers themselves.
Can I enter weight with a comma instead of a period? Yes, OnePress accepts both a comma and a period as the decimal separator when you're entering weight, so it works naturally whether you write 82.5 or 82,5.
Is OnePress available in Spanish? Yes — you can set your preferred language in Settings, and the exercise library includes Spanish names throughout. We're still finishing translations for a small number of screens, and we're actively closing that gap.
Body Measurements
How do I log my body weight or body fat percentage? From your profile/You tab, you can add a body measurement entry anytime. These are stored as a history so you can track trends over time, separate from your workout logging.
Troubleshooting
My data isn't showing up on my other device. Check that iCloud is turned on for OnePress on both devices (Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Apps Using iCloud) and that both devices are online — sync can take a few minutes, especially right after a fresh install.
Something crashed or looks wrong. Please email us (see below) with what you were doing when it happened and your device model/iOS version if you have it handy. We don't collect crash reports automatically, so a quick email is the only way we'll know something's wrong.
I want to start over / clear my data. You can delete individual routines, sessions, or measurements from within the app. To remove everything, delete the app (which clears the local copy) and, if you used iCloud, also remove OnePress's iCloud data from Settings > [your name] > iCloud > Manage Account Storage. Email us if you'd like a hand with this.
Data & Privacy
Where is my data actually stored? On your device, and in your own private iCloud account if you have iCloud enabled. There's no OnePress server — we don't have a copy of your data and can't see it, even if you ask us to look something up for you.
Does OnePress use ads or tracking? No. No ads, no analytics, no third-party tracking of any kind.
Where can I read the full privacy policy? See our Privacy Policy for the complete details on what's collected and how it's handled.
